Okan Başeski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 2nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tanju Özaktuğ. Güzelyurt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinç Tunçkılıç in the 5th minute of play forced Güzelyurt's goalkeeper Tanju Özaktuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Güzelyurt's goalkeeper Tanju Özaktuğ, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabahattin Nasih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanju Özaktuğ having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Naim Okkan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tanju Özaktuğ was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Tanju Özaktuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabahattin Nasih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tanju Özaktuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naim Okkan in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Naim Okkan made a precise shot to the right of Tanju Özaktuğ. Güzelyurt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ceyhun Battal during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ateş fc. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ceyhun Battal hit a great ball. Tanju Özaktuğ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naim Okkan to make the kick off. Şevket Yaşer hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Sabahattin Nasih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanju Özaktuğ having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ateş fc.'s goalkeeper Şafak Koyak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabahattin Nasih might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanju Özaktuğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sabahattin Nasih ran back to his position shaking his head. Sabahattin Nasih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tanju Özaktuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ateş fc. played a much better game than Güzelyurt and deserved their victory. The Güzelyurt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
