When Aşkın Gagauz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Aydintepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aşkın Gagauz couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alkın Taran to make the kick off. When Zikri Tümerkin fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aydintepe's protests and gave Zikri Tümerkin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aydintepe getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Zikri Tümerkin hit a great ball. Cevat Geylani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 minutes, Yavuz Oyum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aydintepe and the Kagizman players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yavuz Oyum kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play Aydintepe's Yavuz Oyum was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Yavuz Oyum hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Gencal Yasık took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esen Koryürek. Esen Koryürek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 69th minute, Pars Öksal made a precise shot to the right of Esen Koryürek. Aydintepe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Sertel Heper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Sertel Heper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aydintepe's Esen Koryürek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencal Yasık in the 82nd minute of play. Birol Uram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. İsa Akbora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
