Feneryolu's Seyfi Özgurel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Bülent Çelikyay in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Seyfi Özgurel managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Kocaköy's Rahman Adahan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 27 minutes, Rahman Adahan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kocaköy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rahman Adahan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seyfi Özgurel made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Rahman Adahan sent off a good shot on target. Seyit Bahçeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fethi Cihaner in the 32nd minute of the match. Ahmet Bülent Çelikyay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göksun Vural's late challenge caught a Kocaköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göksun Vural helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Feneryolu getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Göksun Vural hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Rahman Adahan made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Rahman Adahan put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Seyfi Özgurel. Kocaköy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
