Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sertaç Ufki started the match with the kick off. Vecdet Aytekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bektaş Uluberk in the 4th minute of the match. Vecdet Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Asım Akkuş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Özmen Ramazan fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maden's protests and gave Özmen Ramazan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maden getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Özmen Ramazan hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Maden defense, Bektaş Uluberk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vecdet Aytekin. The Maden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vecdet Aytekin should have stopped the shot. Sertaç Ufki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Muzaffer Koray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vecdet Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgut Doğangün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vecdet Aytekin came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Birecik's Turgut Doğangün. But to his dismay, Turgut Doğangün quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Vecdet Aytekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Asım Akkuş, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Burç İnan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birecik's Muzaffer Koray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ertan Demirezen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Muzaffer Koray made a huge save. Muzaffer Koray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sertaç Ufki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ertan Demirezens short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Muzaffer Koray to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Muzaffer Koray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burç İnan, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Turgut Doğangün stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Asım Akkuş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Vecdet Aytekin made a huge save. Vecdet Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Asım Akkuş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Maden's Necip Koçarslan got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Maden's goalkeeper Vecdet Aytekin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Asım Akkuş. Birecik's Muzaffer Koray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sertaç Ufki in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ertan Demirezen in the 64th minute of play forced Birecik's goalkeeper Muzaffer Koray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maden were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Birecik's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sertaç Ufki took the corner. Pars Uygunel hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Vecdet Aytekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turgut Doğangün in the 73rd minute of play. Burç İnan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Muzaffer Koray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maden. In the 77thth minute of the game Sertaç Ufki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birecik's Muzaffer Koray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Enginsu Şahinalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Bektaş Uluberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ertan Demirezen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ahmet Asım Akkuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Birecik supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Birecik would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
