The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mesut Türköne hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Korhan Dilşah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dursun Ali İsmail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Enis Behiç Ongar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zonguldakspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Enis Behiç Ongar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menderes Koralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oltu's Menderes Koralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osman Nuri Torcan in the 16th minute of play. Korhan Dilşah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dursun Ali İsmail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Zonguldakspor's Osman Nuri Torcan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Osman Nuri Torcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Efekan Bakanay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efekan Bakanay struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dursun Ali İsmail didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oltu. Dursun Ali İsmail came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Oltu's Korhan Dilşah. But to his dismay, Korhan Dilşah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Osman Nuri Torcan made the kick off in the second half. When Zonguldakspor's Enis Behiç Ongar in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oltu's goalie prevented a goal. During the 61st minute of the match Mesut Türköne completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mesut Türköne a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 61st minute, Mesut Türköne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Oltu's goal looked a bit too open when Birkan Sirri came free, but Menderes Koralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Efekan Bakanay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dursun Ali İsmail. Zonguldakspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efekan Bakanay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of Zonguldakspor booed when Oltu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökmen Üngörmüş didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Efekan Bakanay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Zonguldakspor's Enis Behiç Ongar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Menderes Koralp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oltu's Menderes Koralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osman Nuri Torcan in the 83rd minute of play. Menderes Koralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enis Behiç Ongar in the 86th minute of the match. Zonguldakspor's Dursun Ali İsmail proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Zonguldakspor from getting a goal against them. Enis Behiç Ongar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Menderes Koralp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oltu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
