The supporters of Babadag booed when Sakaryaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored Babadag's protests and gave İsmail Keyfer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, İsmail Keyfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Sakaryaspor's Mustafa Ekrem Usman tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ahmet Boran İmam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Kenan Yıldız in the 39th minute of play. Hakkı Kenan Yıldız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Nihat İlham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
Ahmet Hasan Uğurtan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cevat Kutlay's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Hakkı Kenan Yıldız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gencalp Onguner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute, Nihat İlham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Boran İmam made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gencalp Onguner sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nihat İlham in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Hasan Uğurtan saved Babadag from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Babadag's Hakkı Kenan Yıldız slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ahmet Boran İmam. That made the score 2-1 after 80 minutes of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Gencalp Onguner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babadag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gencalp Onguner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Babadag's Hakkı Kenan Yıldız sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Boran İmam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hakkı Kenan Yıldız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Boran İmam having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sakaryaspor had won after a very even match.
