Bülent Refettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Ozan Akçınar having to interfere. Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tolga Revan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Arif Ozan Akçınar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yiğitcan Barlas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baybora Sonay was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baybora Sonay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Petkim SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bülent Refettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Petkim SK's Tolga Revan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arif Ozan Akçınar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı to strike the kick off in the second half. If Tolga Revan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yılmaz Şendoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Baybora Sonay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arif Ozan Akçınar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bülent Refettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Yılmaz Şendoğan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Baybora Sonay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Yılmaz Şendoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yılmaz Şendoğan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Baybora Sonay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kütahyaspor. Yılmaz Şendoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kütahyaspor's Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sefa Tanay charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sefa Tanay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Kütahyaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sefa Tanay to maneuver through the defense. Arif Ozan Akçınar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devlet Kazım, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Baybora Sonay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı in the 85th minute of play. Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kütahyaspor players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
