Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Asım Dalan to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bedri Sorgun saved Sivas from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bedri Sorgun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute Tahsin Ekşioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedri Sorgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabri İbiş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Nuralp Yücesoy made a huge save. A collision led to NEWROZ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alfonzo Keys hit a great ball. NEWROZ's Tahsin Ekşioğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Sivas's Sabri İbiş dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Sivas's Yusuf Tümcan in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NEWROZ's goalie prevented a goal. Sivas were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over NEWROZ's much stronger midfield.
