After having played for 11 minutes, Halis Tokur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halis Tokur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Halis Tokur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hüseyin Cahit Oylum was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The Yedikule JK fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Yedikule JK's Hasan Eraslan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Halis Tokur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hüseyin Cahit Oylum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Yedikule JK's Hasan Eraslan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yetkiner Akalp. Yetkiner Akalp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Gazanfer Özcan Özerdem got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Hasan Eraslan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Yetkiner Akalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Yetkiner Akalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Şensoy Saraç came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Yedikule JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şensoy Saraç couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şensoy Saraç got free with Yetkiner Akalp in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mesut Acaralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halis Tokur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şensoy Saraç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yetkiner Akalp having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Arif Tugay Tangun got a free kick in the 51st minute. Yetkiner Akalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasan Eraslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Hasan Eraslan made a precise shot to the right of Yetkiner Akalp. GALATASARAY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 59th match minute, Yedikule JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halil İbrahim Kutun to maneuver through the defense. GALATASARAY's Mesut Acaralp got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Hüseyin Cahit Oylum successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 66th minute, Mesut Acaralp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hüseyin Cahit Oylum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halis Tokur in the 68th minute of play. Hüseyin Cahit Oylum made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Mesut Acaralp sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gazanfer Özcan Özerdem hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, Yedikule JK's Hasan Eraslan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yetkiner Akalp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 79thth minute of the game Hasan Eraslan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY's Yetkiner Akalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Fatih Raşit during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Fatih Raşit to maneuver through the defense.
