After a rather tough play, Menderes's Gürkan Kudsi got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Menderes's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan came free, but Ogün Songur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Karaagac's Ogün Songur threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yakup Yiğitkan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ogün Songur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaagac's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ogün Songur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Haşim Saylan in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Karaagac's Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Menderes's Lütfi Birdal got a free kick in the 27th minute. Mehmet Halis Ülgen hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Karaagac's Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erberk Cinel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ahmet Necdet Tansoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haşim Saylan made a kick off. Menderes's Ogün Songur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Karaagac's goal looked a bit too open when Haşim Saylan came free, but Ahmet Necdet Tansoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Erberk Cinel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Necdet Tansoy was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ogün Songur saved Menderes from getting behind. Gürkan Kudsi kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ogün Songur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan in the 74th minute of the match. Ogün Songur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Göktuğ Karakan in the 76th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Menderes's Ogün Songur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Menderes's Haşim Saylan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Necdet Tansoy. Ahmet Necdet Tansoy yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
