When Bektaş Özozan fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kinik JK's protests and gave Bektaş Özozan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Menemen JK booed when Kinik JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Özozan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gencal Soyselçuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İdris Nefer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Arın Cebel kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Tugay İlbey might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İdris Nefer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tugay İlbey ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Menemen JK booed when Kinik JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Özozan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ahmet İlke Erkinay came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Menemen JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet İlke Erkinay couldn't finish the play. If Gencal Soyselçuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes, Arın Cebel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menemen JK and the Kinik JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Arın Cebel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tugay İlbey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but İdris Nefer made a huge save. If Tugay İlbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Gencal Soyselçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinik JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gencal Soyselçuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Menemen JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arın Cebel to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Menemen JK's zone, Gencal Soyselçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İdris Nefer came out of the goal and Gencal Soyselçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İdris Nefer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencal Soyselçuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tugay İlbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gencal Soyselçuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İdris Nefer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet İlke Erkinay to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tugay İlbey in the 52nd minute of play forced Menemen JK's goalkeeper İdris Nefer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Kinik JK's Gencal Soyselçuk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İdris Nefer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tugay İlbey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tolunay Gözlem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gökçe Öksak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tolunay Gözlem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Gökçe Öksak made a huge save. Göktuğ Temizer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Tugay İlbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Menemen JK's zone, Gencal Soyselçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İdris Nefer came out of the goal and Gencal Soyselçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kinik JK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
