After some careless play in the Özgüzeldere SK defense, Ferdi Yılma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Talha Özbal. The Özgüzeldere SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Talha Özbal should have stopped the shot. Onurhan Ayana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gencay Öktuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Zekeriya Değer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rumelikavagi SK's Gencay Öktuna. Gencay Öktuna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Zekeriya Değer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Özgüzeldere SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ferdi Yılma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Talha Özbal made a huge save. Ferdi Yılma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onurhan Ayana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gencay Öktuna having to interfere. When Zekeriya Değer came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Özgüzeldere SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zekeriya Değer couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdi Yılma kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Talha Özbal. That made the score 2-2 in the 37 minute of play. Ferdi Yılma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Talha Özbal made a huge save. 42 minutes into the game, Eralp Tanır was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Özgüzeldere SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rumelikavagi SK the free kick. The supporters of Rumelikavagi SK booed when Özgüzeldere SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eralp Tanır didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes in the game, Nejat Alp Cebe dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ferdi Yılma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Talha Özbal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nejat Alp Cebe made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Özgüzeldere SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdi Yılma came free, but Talha Özbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Ferdi Yılma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumelikavagi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdi Yılma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Nejat Alp Cebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talha Özbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ferdi Yılma came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Rumelikavagi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdi Yılma couldn't finish the play. After 63 minutes of play, Özgüzeldere SK's Zekeriya Değer made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gencay Öktuna was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Hüsamettin Özbil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Onurhan Ayana came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Özgüzeldere SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onurhan Ayana couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Onurhan Ayana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencay Öktuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Rumelikavagi SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayındır Mehmet Özoğuz to maneuver through the defense. Ferdi Yılma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eralp Tanır got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st minute, Eralp Tanır hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zekeriya Değer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gencay Öktuna having to interfere. Abdulvahit Tanbek charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdulvahit Tanbek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Abdulvahit Tanbek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Özgüzeldere SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
