An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Arif Eskioğlu in the 16th minute of play forced Imamoglu FK's goalkeeper Dursun Vakkasoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gökcan Taykara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murathan Levent, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Paşa Settar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murathan Levent in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökcan Taykara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Semi Özdinçer put in a rough tackle. Menderes SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imamoglu FK the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Imamoglu FK's Can Ateşoğlu tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Paşa Settar struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gökcan Taykara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imamoglu FK.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murathan Levent made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Murathan Levent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imamoglu FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Murathan Levent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökcan Taykara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Menderes SK's Gafur Okay got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paşa Settar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gökcan Taykara having to make a save. In the 61stth minute of the game Murathan Levent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Menderes SK's Gökcan Taykara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murathan Levent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Imamoglu FK's Murathan Levent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gökcan Taykara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paşa Settar got free with Gökcan Taykara in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
