Cuma Sorgun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Ali Birsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hacı Ali Birsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cuma Sorgun having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Ahmet Ziya Bayar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuma Sorgun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hacı Ali Birsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Besiktas booed when Kilis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Bilge Şanberk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Besiktas's Cuma Sorgun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ziya Bayar in the 64th minute of play. Ahmet Ziya Bayar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Cuma Sorgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Besiktas got a freekick which was hit by Sait Nebi. Burhanettin Malik's late challenge caught a Kilis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Hacı Ali Birsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cuma Sorgun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Ahmet Ziya Bayar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kilis had played much better football throughout.
