Sefaköy's Mehmet Fatih Özguven got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sefaköy's Çelebi Sarim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsmail Erüstün in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Abdulvahit Onurkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ergincan Riva in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Çelebi Sarim saved Sefaköy from getting behind. When Abdulvahit Onurkan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ergani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulvahit Onurkan couldn't finish the play. Faruk Uygan charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faruk Uygan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ergani made a substitution. Tahsin Şenbay replaced Abdulvahit Onurkan. After a defensive mix-up in Sefaköy's zone, Tahsin Şenbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çelebi Sarim came out of the goal and Tahsin Şenbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tahsin Şenbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çelebi Sarim was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute Babür Özbek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çelebi Sarim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çelebi Sarim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Erüstün in the 53rd minute of play. İsmail Erüstün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelebi Sarim having to interfere. A collision led to Sefaköy getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Abuzer Şahvar hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Ergani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mete Sahat to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Sefaköy's Kunter Çaykara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Tahsin Şenbay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ergani were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Sefaköy to leave the ground with a draw.
