A collision led to Yatagan getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Erol Özbay hit a great ball. Utku Muhtar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıdvan Pakel in the 4th minute of play. Aydın Sağman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Avcilar's zone, Özalp Şah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bora Kantürk came out of the goal and Özalp Şah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bora Kantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydın Sağman in the 13th minute of play. Berk Özyurek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Utku Muhtar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Berk Özyurek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rıdvan Pakel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Utku Muhtar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rıdvan Pakel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Utku Muhtar having to interfere. Nedim Tanuğur's late challenge caught a Yatagan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nedim Tanuğur helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The supporters of Yatagan booed when Avcilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şanver Oksar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Yatagan fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Yatagan's Aydın Sağman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Aydın Sağman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
