Hamdi Şahoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kandemir Akgüngör in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Pülümür JK's Hamdi Şahoğlu got control of the ball when Mehmet Bilge Atasagun tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Güntekin Asır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Pülümür JK's Mesut Aydemir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edip Akgül narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Pülümür JK's Hamdi Şahoğlu got control of the ball when Mehmet Bilge Atasagun tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute Güntekin Asır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edip Akgül saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Edip Akgül showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güntekin Asır, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
