The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Balaban Geylanoğullarından received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ziya Safer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Samim Muammer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute Asım Reca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet İşcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gölova FK's zone, Abdulvahit Haseki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet İşcan came out of the goal and Abdulvahit Haseki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balaban Geylanoğullarından struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Mehmet İşcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azdavay FC. Mehmet İşcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulvahit Haseki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zülfü Gökalp fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gölova FK's protests and gave Zülfü Gökalp a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gölova FK's Zülfü Gökalp got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Ziya Safer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gölova FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Batıray Kavaş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Samim Muammer made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Buğra Bürgehan made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ziya Safer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Azdavay FC's Samim Muammer. Samim Muammer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samim Muammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zülfü Gökalp in the 55th minute of play. Samim Muammer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziya Safer in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Altan Şahit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azdavay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gölova FK the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Azdavay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altan Şahit to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes, Gölova FK's Baturhan Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samim Muammer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Baturhan Sena lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Gölova FK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Baturhan Sena hit a great ball. Abdulvahit Haseki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Mehmet İşcan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Azdavay FC's Balaban Geylanoğullarından got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gölova FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Abdulvahit Haseki scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet İşcan, making the score, 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gölova FK were victorious despite being under pressure from Azdavay FC for much of the match.
