Metehan Başdoğan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Gökmen Sırat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sekerspor FK booed when ɪᴤᴘᴀʀᴛᴀ ᴘʀᴀɢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedirhan Davarcı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sekerspor FK's Saffet İşcan got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If İsmail Tekinalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sekerspor FK defense, Tolga Honazlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehmet Emin Özduru. The Sekerspor FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehmet Emin Özduru should have stopped the shot. Sekerspor FK's Enver Yoruk got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bumin Merdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saffet İşcan in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by ɪᴤᴘᴀʀᴛᴀ ᴘʀᴀɢ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Metehan Başdoğan was slow to take the kick. During this time Sekerspor FK's players had a chance to rest. İsmail Tekinalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bumin Merdan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İsmail Tekinalp made a kick off. In the 60th play minute Saffet İşcan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bumin Merdan. 1-1. After having played for 67 minutes, İsmail Tekinalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sekerspor FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İsmail Tekinalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Sekerspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tolga Honazlı came free, but Mehmet Emin Özduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute İsmail Tekinalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bumin Merdan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tolga Honazlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolga Honazlı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Emin Özduru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Bumin Merdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Tekinalp in the 93rd minute of play.
