Berke Akgül's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serdar Erdönmez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Özkan Gilşah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timur Tüzün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mert Velican in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kunter Hasankeyf during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hanak's Timur Tüzün proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Hanak from getting a goal against them. Şevket Hacıbeyoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Timur Tüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Mert Velican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timur Tüzün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hanak's Kunter Hasankeyf got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 37 played minutes Hanak got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Oğuz Tancan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mert Velican in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timur Tüzün saved Hanak from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Osman Nuri Ökten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serdar Erdönmez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serdar Erdönmez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cevahir Fırat, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mert Velican to make the kick off. Timur Tüzün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şevket Hacıbeyoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Mert Velican got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Şevket Hacıbeyoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timur Tüzün having to interfere. If Osman Nuri Ökten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Mersin FK's goalkeeper Serdar Erdönmez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osman Nuri Ökten. When Hanak's Cevahir Fırat, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hanak. If Özkan Gilşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Serdar Erdönmez. After having played for 91 minutes, Osman Nuri Ökten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hanak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osman Nuri Ökten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serdar Erdönmez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cevahir Fırat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hanak walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
