In a very dangerous position, a player in Mersin FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Kuddusî Muren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serdar Erdönmez having to interfere. Caner Hürmüz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serdar Erdönmez having to make a save. In the 18thth minute of the game Caner Hürmüz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mersin FK's Serdar Erdönmez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Caner Hürmüz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Acipayam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caner Hürmüz couldn't finish the play. Mersin FK's Serdar Erdönmez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caner Hürmüz in the 21st minute of play. Şevket Hacıbeyoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Vedat Canay made a huge save. If Mert Velican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Mersin FK's goal looked a bit too open when Kuddusî Muren came free, but Serdar Erdönmez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vedat Canay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mert Velican in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kuddusî Muren to strike the kick off in the second half. Caner Hürmüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Serdar Erdönmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Hacıbeyoğlu in the 63rd minute of play forced Acipayam's goalkeeper Vedat Canay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Acipayam booed when Mersin FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özkan Gilşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yahya Kemal Senih's late challenge caught a Mersin FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
