Atay Barkın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulusi Okdağ in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Hulusi Okdağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atay Barkın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cagaloglu SK's Yalçın Erel got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Yahsihan JK got a freekick which was hit by Kamer Civan. Kubat Canal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cagaloglu SK's Remzi Tanbolat got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Hulusi Okdağ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atay Barkın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Münir Sağman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cagaloglu SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Münir Sağman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute Ulaş İdrisoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yüce İbiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Boğatekin's late challenge caught a Cagaloglu SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Boğatekin helped the player get up and apologised. Ali Boğatekin kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ulaş İdrisoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cagaloglu SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulaş İdrisoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yüce İbiş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The wind increased when Ulaş İdrisoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Ulaş İdrisoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yüce İbiş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulaş İdrisoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the game, Kerimhan Bengisoy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cagaloglu SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yahsihan JK the free kick. After 62 played minutes Cagaloglu SK got a freekick which was hit by Kerimhan Bengisoy. In the 64th minute Ulaş İdrisoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yüce İbiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Yahsihan JK's Kubat Canal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Atay Barkın. That made the score 0-1 after 72 minutes of play. Ulaş İdrisoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Yüce İbiş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Ulaş İdrisoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cagaloglu SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Yüce İbiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulaş İdrisoğlu in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Serhan Ülker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
