The referee ignored Kocamustafapasa FK's protests and gave Kadri Ruhi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, one of Kocamustafapasa FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kocamustafapasa FK. 17 minutes into the game, Nusret Orkutay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bernard Rodenboog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Magalhães's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Mehmet Bilge Uzlet skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fausto Magalhães succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 26th playminute. Mümtazer Hatip received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet came out and tried to block the shot, but Mümtazer Hatip slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 29th minute. Bernard Rodenboog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusret Orkutay in the 32nd minute of the match. When Batuhan Yayalp fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kocamustafapasa FK's protests and gave Batuhan Yayalp a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Kocamustafapasa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batuhan Yayalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Magalhães took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Bilge Uzlet. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 38th minute Nusret Orkutay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Rodenboog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray's Fausto Magalhães. But to his dismay, Fausto Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mümtazer Hatip in the 48th minute of play forced Kocamustafapasa FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Bilge Uzlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-1 at half-time.

In the 56th minute, Mümtazer Hatip made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Bilge Uzlet. Kocamustafapasa FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mümtazer Hatip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mümtazer Hatip in the 86th minute of play. Mehmet Bilge Uzlet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Magalhães in the 89th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Mümtazer Hatip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Bilge Uzlet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Galatasaray's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
