Bedrettin Olcaytug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doğuş Baykutay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabit Bakırcı in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Ahmet Bedri Selil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arteka FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bursaspor the free kick. The supporters of Bursaspor booed when Arteka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Bedri Selil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Alaaddin Akça sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doğuş Baykutay skillfully saved the ball. Doğuş Baykutay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinç Şahin in the 10th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Arteka FC defense, Dinç Şahin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doğuş Baykutay. The Arteka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doğuş Baykutay should have stopped the shot. After 20 played minutes Bursaspor got a freekick which was hit by Dinç Şahin. 25 minutes into the game, Sabit Bakırcı cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Doğuş Baykutay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Naim Dirsehan came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Arteka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naim Dirsehan couldn't finish the play. Arteka FC's Doğuş Baykutay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Semail Yıldız in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Arteka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dinç Şahin came free, but Doğuş Baykutay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Semail Yıldız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğuş Baykutay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Arteka FC's goalkeeper Doğuş Baykutay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Semail Yıldız. Fırat Aktaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Ülgenalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Doğuş Baykutay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinç Şahin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arteka FC's Bedrettin Olcaytug suffered a sore thigh after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 62 minutes, Alaaddin Akça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bursaspor and the Arteka FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alaaddin Akça hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Bursaspor's Fırat Aktaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naim Dirsehan in the 65th minute of play. Cihat Necip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Arteka FC's Naim Dirsehan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fırat Aktaş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Semail Yıldız took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doğuş Baykutay. Doğuş Baykutay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halim Onay got free with Doğuş Baykutay in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fırat Aktaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yenal Sezen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinç Şahin in the 83rd minute of play forced Arteka FC's goalkeeper Doğuş Baykutay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğuş Baykutay was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Dinç Şahin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dinç Şahin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The supporters of Bursaspor booed when Arteka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarık Pektay didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Arteka FC's Doğuş Baykutay got control of the ball when Semail Yıldız tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arteka FC's Tarık Pektay got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Bursaspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bursaspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
