In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Coşkun Özerkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mustafa Emrah Tacik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Cuenllas in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Birjaio Arellano hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Tarık Sönmez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC St. Pauli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş's Mustafa Emrah Tacik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 毛瑜常 in the 22nd minute of play. Birjaio Arellano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 25 in the game by Rufus Burger from a close distance when the talented Coşkun Özerkin managed to make a qualified save. FC St. Pauli's players were relieved. After 44 minutes of play, FC St. Pauli's Pau Cuenllas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mustafa Emrah Tacik was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Mustafa Emrah Tacik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tarık Sönmez went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Rufus Burger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coşkun Özerkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Rufus Burger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC St. Pauli's Coşkun Özerkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Nihat Yasin in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş's Gafur Türkşen. After having played for 81 minutes, Birjaio Arellano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birjaio Arellano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Rufus Burger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC St. Pauli the free kick. In the 84th minute, Rufus Burger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa Emrah Tacik came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by FC St. Pauli's Pau Cuenllas. But to his dismay, Pau Cuenllas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 96 minutes, Kutluay Ağyar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC St. Pauli and the YAKUPOĞLUSPOR A.Ş players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, FC St. Pauli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutluay Ağyar to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC St. Pauli had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
