In the 28th minute, Şener İspirli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erkin Akçay came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Sivas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkin Akçay couldn't finish the play. Abdullatif Tüzün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özcan Orhan kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Zeynel Oral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erkin Akçay was the one to do the kick off. The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s Ümit Yalkın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdullatif Tüzün in the 54th minute of play. Gürkan Hitit kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ümit Yalkın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erkin Akçay in the 60th minute of the match. Abdullatif Tüzün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abdullatif Tüzün came free, but Ümit Yalkın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s Ümit Yalkın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkin Akçay in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of The Ottoman Empire F.C. booed when Sivas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ümit Yalkın stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdullatif Tüzün's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erkin Akçay in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ümit Yalkın saved The Ottoman Empire F.C. from getting behind. Songurhan Durualp hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s Asaf Işıklar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sivas. The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
