The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes YsR FC got a freekick which was hit by Arif Egemen Razi. In the 7th match minute, FENERBAHÇE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Vlaicu to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Liu Mo Chang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marián Líška. Liu Mo Chang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marián Líška, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Marián Líška shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Mo Chang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Sauvage's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Liu Mo Chang firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 24 played minutes, FENERBAHÇE's Hilmi Çavlı shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baturhan Ilgaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FENERBAHÇE reached it. Liu Mo Chang made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Kevin Sauvage sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demircan Baykal in the 28th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Liu Mo Chang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Önder Özcam made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Demircan Baykal immediately put the ball in play. Liu Mo Chang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Mudry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, Kevin Sauvage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YsR FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Sauvage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liu Mo Chang was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Demircan Baykal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. After 42 played minutes YsR FC got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Hamdi Sonay. Hilmi Çavlı, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marián Líška in the 48th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Liu Mo Chang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Cosmin Vlaicu made the kick off in the second half. Baturhan Ilgaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Vlaicu in the 52nd minute of the match. Liu Mo Chang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marián Líška in the 56th minute of play. FENERBAHÇE's Liu Mo Chang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marián Líška in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's goal looked a bit too open when Rosen Manchev came free, but Liu Mo Chang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, YsR FC's Önder Özcam got a free kick in the 66th minute. YsR FC's Bedir Enfal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Liu Mo Chang in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marián Líška scored 7-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liu Mo Chang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
