Alacakaya's Volkan Kabakçı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahadır Arpacı in the 35th minute of play. Namık Yalçuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Kabakçı having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdullatif Ulunay made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Nurkan Uraltay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erkilet SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alacakaya the free kick. In the 51st minute, Nurkan Uraltay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Kılıç Özgu in the 53rd minute really tested Mehmet Şefik Nesil's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
