Naci Yetkin kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Türker Terzioğlu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Eski Açık Sarı Desene fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Türker Terzioğlu couldn't finish the play. Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Ahmet Boran Bayındır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esen Turalp in the 32nd minute of play. Ahmet Boran Bayındır took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esen Turalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Behram Çağlayan hit a great ball. Ahmet Boran Bayındır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esen Turalp in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Galatasaray's Esen Turalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ahmet Boran Bayındır. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Esen Turalp to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Türker Terzioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Batı Hatipoğlu. Galatasaray's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Türker Terzioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee gave Behram Çağlayan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 66th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behram Çağlayan to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes, Eski Açık Sarı Desene's Barlas Sinan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Batı Hatipoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eski Açık Sarı Desene reached it. Galatasaray's Batı Hatipoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrezzak Ulukaan in the 68th minute of play. If Gani Tuğaltan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
