The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Gevas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çakır Balıkçı to maneuver through the defense. Refik Halit Koçubey came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's Muzaffer Özgebay. But to his dismay, Muzaffer Özgebay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute, Ferhan Uğurtay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Berker Rıza Kudret fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's protests and gave Berker Rıza Kudret a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Aras Gündüz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gevas JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aras Gündüz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cevat İmamoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bora Han Enginsoy fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's protests and gave Bora Han Enginsoy a yellow card for diving instead. Bora Han Enginsoy hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Korkutalp Ekincioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cevat İmamoğlu. Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Korkutalp Ekincioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 28th match minute, Gevas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhun Yekta to maneuver through the defense. Çakır Balıkçı kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceyhan Okan in the 31st minute of play forced Gevas JK's goalkeeper Refik Halit Koçubey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cevat İmamoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korkutalp Ekincioğlu in the 33rd minute of the match. Ejder Akdal hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, Gevas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saip Eskioğlu to maneuver through the defense. If Muzaffer Özgebay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceyhan Okan in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Refik Halit Koçubey saved Gevas JK from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Muzaffer Özgebay notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Gevas JK's Refik Halit Koçubey. Refik Halit Koçubey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ceyhan Okan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Saip Eskioğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Muzaffer Özgebay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Refik Halit Koçubey having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Ceyhan Okan fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Refik Halit Koçubey. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Ejder Akdal hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Çakır Balıkçı notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü's Cevat İmamoğlu. Cevat İmamoğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bora Han Enginsoy kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ceyhan Okan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Refik Halit Koçubey having to interfere. Muzaffer Özgebay succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 96th playminute. When the match was over Akıncılar Futbol Kulübü could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gevas JK throughout the match.
