Fenerim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orduspor FK the free kick. Sungurbey Iğdırlı charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sungurbey Iğdırlı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Orduspor FK booed when Fenerim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sungurbey Iğdırlı didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Orduspor FK defense, Fikret Kamuran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Necati Türköz. The Orduspor FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Necati Türköz should have stopped the shot. Batıray Abay hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Necati Türköz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Battal Cüneyt Sözer went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gökçek Dindar to strike the kick off in the second half. Orduspor FK's Samet Uludoğan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Volkan Erçelik in the 53 minute of the game. A collision led to Fenerim getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bican Özdilek hit a great ball. Selman Özerol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiğit Can Kose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Orduspor FK's Batıray Abay got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes, Fikret Kamuran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fenerim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
