Hayati Yetkiner took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uğur Yücesoy. Göztepe SK's Uğur Yücesoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ümit Bardakçı in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Evren Sebat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uğur Yücesoy. Göztepe SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evren Sebat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evren Sebat in the 17th minute of play forced Göztepe SK's goalkeeper Uğur Yücesoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğur Yücesoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutay Kadrettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Evren Sebat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğur Yücesoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Göztepe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Evren Sebat came free, but Uğur Yücesoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Göztepe SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uğur Yücesoy should have stopped the shot. Uğur Yücesoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evren Sebat in the 36th minute of the match. Uğur Yücesoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hayati Yetkiner in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uğur Yücesoy saved Göztepe SK from getting behind. Uğur Yücesoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Bardakçı, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kahraman Uraza was the one to do the kick off. Nuratay Açıkgün hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match, Evren Sebat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uğur Yücesoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute Ümit Bardakçı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğur Yücesoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uğur Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ümit Bardakçı in the 63rd minute of play. Kutay Kadrettin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Uğur Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evren Sebat in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Kutay Kadrettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armutlu FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutay Kadrettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uğur Yücesoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Bardakçı, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Armutlu FK's Hayati Yetkiner made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uğur Yücesoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evren Sebat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uğur Yücesoy having to interfere. Uğur Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evren Sebat in the 84th minute of play. Uğur Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ümit Bardakçı in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Göztepe SK getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Atıf Yıldızhan hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes, Armutlu FK's Kahraman Erçelik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uğur Yücesoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Armutlu FK reached it. The supporters of Armutlu FK booed when Göztepe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korkutalp Aktay didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Göztepe SK's Uğur Yücesoy got control of the ball when Kutay Kadrettin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armutlu FK's Hayati Yetkiner was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Armutlu FK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
