With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murat Selim Zaik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 minutes, Joaquim Carvalho made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kocaelispor's Murat Selim Zaik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Salamanca UDS's Kamel Espitalier pulled a muscle in his leg after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Salamanca UDS's Kılıç Taygar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murat Selim Zaik. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play.
