Gerasim Evsikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatoliy Galutskiy in the 3rd minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Pavel Soldatenkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skif-Don's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chelyabinsk FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Skif-Don's Pavel Soldatenkov got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Chelyabinsk FC's Matvey Tarakin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Skif-Don's Sergey Lekarev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikhail Katolichuk in the 15th minute of play. Mikhail Katolichuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 23rd minute of the match Pavel Soldatenkov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pavel Soldatenkov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 24th match minute, Skif-Don was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Soldatenkov to maneuver through the defense. Igor Dzerzhinskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikhail Katolichuk to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Chelyabinsk FC's Georgiy Kalinichev got a free kick in the 54th minute. Daniil Karmin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Igor Dzerzhinskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergey Lekarev was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Mikhail Katolichuk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mikhail Katolichuk really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pavel Kotuhin during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Chelyabinsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Kotuhin. When Mikhail Katolichuk came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Chelyabinsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikhail Katolichuk couldn't finish the play. When Mark Subbotin fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skif-Don's protests and gave Mark Subbotin a yellow card for diving instead. Mark Subbotin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Demyan Aguzarov charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demyan Aguzarov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Skif-Don got a freekick which was hit by Demyan Aguzarov. Chelyabinsk FC's Matvey Tarakin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Skif-Don. Mikhail Katolichuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sergey Lekarev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Dzerzhinskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chelyabinsk FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
