Jon Aglen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasım Nevzat having to interfere. Kasım Nevzat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Savas Likouris went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Savas Likouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikhail Buchenkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksey Bestuzhev in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Petr Topilin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kasım Nevzat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Aglen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kasım Nevzat came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FCZ 1925's Savas Likouris. But to his dismay, Savas Likouris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jon Aglen in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kasım Nevzat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 played minutes FCZ 1925 got a freekick which was hit by Petr Topilin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Dubinskiy in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikhail Buchenkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Karelia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Savas Likouris came free, but Kasım Nevzat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Savas Likouris was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Karelia FC booed when FCZ 1925 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergey Sergin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
