Ferdinand Vrabie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nicolae Tănăsie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC BOKA booed when Bortos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Bălășoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Dumitru Apolzan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BOKA's supporters rose to their feet, but Dumitru Apolzan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolae Tănăsie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Tărău in the 56th minute of play forced FC BOKA's goalkeeper Avram Stolnicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Carp couldn't finish the play. Doru Bitanu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC BOKA's zone, Dan Birișu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Stolnicu came out of the goal and Dan Birișu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, FC BOKA's Claudiu Carp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicolae Tănăsie. Nicolae Tănăsie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Bortos's Nicolae Tănăsie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Apolzan in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 played minutes Bortos got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Pumnu. If Claudiu Carp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumitru Apolzan in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolae Tănăsie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Vrabie in the 79th minute of play forced Bortos's goalkeeper Nicolae Tănăsie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dumitru Apolzan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolae Tănăsie was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 90 minutes, Ferdinand Vrabie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BOKA and the Bortos players grew even worse after the yellow card.
