Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rapid's Valeriu Bistreanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chichisa AS's Paul Onofrei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Bistreanu in the 13th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Valeriu Bistreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Onofrei was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Valeriu Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Chichisa AS got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Albu. In the 33rd minute of the match Codruț Geantă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Onofrei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Rapid's David Popean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Onofrei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Popean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Paul Onofrei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid's zone, Gigel Brad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Donecea came out of the goal and Gigel Brad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Valeriu Bistreanu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Paul Onofrei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid. In the 63rd match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Podgoreanu to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Brad came free, but Silviu Donecea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pavel Zâncă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Popean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Onofrei made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Popean in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Rapid's Horea Podgoreanu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Flavius Dăscălescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Paul Onofrei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Bistreanu in the 88th minute of the match. With his leg Paul Onofrei managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Rapid's David Popean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chichisa AS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
