Cazimir Banica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sorin Sandu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Marin Surugiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Târcă in the 31st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Paraschivescu during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Razoarele CS getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cazimir Paraschivescu hit a great ball. Sorin Sandu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Paraschivescu in the 40th minute of play. Gavril Lăceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marin Surugiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Arsenal fans' excitement grew in the 49th match minute when Arsenal's Gavril Lăceanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Târcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavril Lăceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes of play, Arsenal's Gavril Lăceanu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marin Surugiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dorel Ghizdeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sorin Sandu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Todoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavril Lăceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavril Lăceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Surugiu having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Niculae Târcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Surugiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arsenal had played much better football throughout.
