Cristi Hâjdău's late challenge caught a Mires's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristi Hâjdău helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mires booed when Rosusnei SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 12th match minute, Rosusnei SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Zafiu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nicu Chihaia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mires's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicu Chihaia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Nedelea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the game, Ciprian Budac lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Marius Nedelea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Tănase in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marius Nedelea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute of the match, Eusebiu Tănase tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marius Nedelea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 22 played minutes Mires got a freekick which was hit by Alin Pașcalău. 23 minutes into the game, Rosusnei SC's Ovidiu Zbora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavril Zăvoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Marius Nedelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Budac in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ion Vlas managed to get in a good position for a shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristi Hâjdău stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavril Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Zafiu in the 58th minute of play. If Ion Vlas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Mires's Ion Vlas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marius Nedelea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute Ciprian Budac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Nedelea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ion Vlas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute of the match Iustinian Coposu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavril Zăvoiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute Cristi Hâjdău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Zăvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ion Vlas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ivan Zafiu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Ion Vlas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
