In the 6th minute, Ernest Goanță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudiu Bucataru kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Constantin Hâncu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Ernest Goanță notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ciacova CF's Laurențiu Oanță. Laurențiu Oanță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Vulturiii's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Mandoiu came free, but Francisc Nasta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichifor Bulă during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vulturiii's Nichifor Bulă got a free kick in the 21st minute. Constantin Hâncu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisc Nasta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Mandoiu in the 30th minute of play. Ernest Goanță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Laurențiu Oanță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vulturiii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Goanță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Lucian Gavra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laurențiu Oanță. The goal made the score 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Laurențiu Oanță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Gavra in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vulturiii's Olimpiu Pârlea got a free kick in the 57th minute. Nichifor Chircu helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ciacova CF! The referee gave Vulturiii a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ernest Goanță, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ciacova CF's Laurențiu Oanță. 4-1. Francisc Nasta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Hâncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
