Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Romeo Bodnar kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Albert Stejaru put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ionică Harbuz. Costina UFC's Octavian Morar got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Bodnar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Neaga having to interfere. Andrei Gaciu came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristian Neaga could save by the left post. Manuel Teodoreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ionică Harbuz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mureseni's Albert Stejaru in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costina UFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Albert Stejaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Mureseni booed when Costina UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Dominte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Petru Miclescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes, Mureseni's Ioan Ungheanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ionică Harbuz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mureseni reached it. Costina UFC's Ionică Harbuz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Teodoreanu in the 36th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Albert Stejaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Albert Stejaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mureseni defense, Romeo Bodnar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Neaga. The Mureseni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Neaga should have stopped the shot. After 84 played minutes Costina UFC got a freekick which was hit by Petru Miclescu. In the 87th minute Albert Stejaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Harbuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Andrei Gaciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costina UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Gaciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Neaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Teodoreanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionică Harbuz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Teodoreanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Mureseni's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
