Narcis Pușcariu took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sever Neața. Sever Neața dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Ghimpoaia getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Martin Bărnuțiu hit a great ball. Narcis Pușcariu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Sever Neața made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ghimpoaia's Eric Nedelcea got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Slavko Roža in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantin Vergulescu saved Laceanca from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Laceanca's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Gâfu came free, but Constantin Vergulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bărnuțiu in the 25th minute of play forced Laceanca's goalkeeper Constantin Vergulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuri Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Constantin Vergulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, one of Laceanca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Laceanca. Ghimpoaia's Slavko Roža got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantin Vergulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Paraíba in the 67th minute of play. Sever Neața made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Morozan in the 69th minute of play. Slavko Roža in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Constantin Vergulescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sever Neața showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Urducea in the 74th minute of the match. If Iuri Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Slavko Roža took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Constantin Vergulescu to make any attempt to save it. After 84 played minutes Laceanca got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Gaiță. Slavko Roža didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-4 via right post in the game's 90th minute. Ghimpoaia's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 96th minute, Ghimpoaia's Iuri Paraíba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Ghimpoaia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
