Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sabin Feraru made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Slavko Roža came free, but Sabin Andronache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Ştefan Comarnescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steaua Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghimpoaia the free kick. Ştefan Comarnescu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Slavko Roža fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Andronache having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Iuri Paraíba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sabin Andronache. Iuri Paraíba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 28th minute of the match, Iuri Paraíba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sabin Andronache saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sever Neața came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua Bucuresti's Sabin Feraru. But to his dismay, Sabin Feraru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Horea Gafița blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sever Neața having to make a save. Eric Nedelcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Andronache having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Iosif Doicaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steaua Bucuresti and the Ghimpoaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Iosif Doicaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Slavko Roža to make the kick off. Sever Neața was a little too slow when Horea Gafița got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-2. The supporters of Ghimpoaia booed when Steaua Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Comarnescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sever Neața took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Răduț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Slavko Roža shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Andronache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sever Neața showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Feraru, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Sabin Feraru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Neața having to interfere. In the 79th minute Sabin Feraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Neața saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sever Neața had great luck who in the 79thth minute grab hold of the ball when Sabin Feraru from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, Steaua Bucuresti's Iosif Doicaru got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Horea Gafița could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Sever Neața however easily saved by the left post. In the 90th minute Slavko Roža shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Andronache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sever Neața took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Răduț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Steaua Bucuresti were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ghimpoaia side.
