After 2 played minutes AS SPERANTA TRIAJ got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Axinia. Ivan Abraham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Costică Stoican. AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AS SPERANTA TRIAJ! Ivan Abraham shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Costică Stoican made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilie Abutnăriței in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Vali Almăgean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spurs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's Iosif Gârleanu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costică Stoican came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Spurs's Ilie Abutnăriței. But to his dismay, Ilie Abutnăriței quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 34 minutes, Nicolae Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolae Ungheanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Vali Almăgean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Costică Stoican, 3-1. With a little luck, AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's Costică Stoican got control of the ball when Ilie Abutnăriței tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ilie Abutnăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costică Stoican made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vali Almăgean in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Vali Almăgean could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Costică Stoican however easily saved by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolae Ungheanu to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to AS SPERANTA TRIAJ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Iosif Gârleanu hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Abutnăriței came free, but Costică Stoican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Nicolae Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolae Ungheanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugurel Gruescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Oproiu in the 63rd minute of play forced AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goalkeeper Costică Stoican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Olimpiu Oproiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Stoican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Spurs getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Eric Drăgoi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Oproiu in the 76th minute of play forced AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goalkeeper Costică Stoican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Ungheanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mugurel Gruescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolae Ungheanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Valer Anton fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spurs's protests and gave Valer Anton a yellow card for diving instead. Valer Anton kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Avram Rusu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valer Anton hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Petrică Ciocoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Nicolae Ungheanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-2 in the 93rd playminute. A collision led to Spurs getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ilie Abutnăriței hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Iustin Ciorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
