The supporters of PHOENIX BUCURESTI booed when Cimpuri FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Drumeș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Constantinescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergiu Baniu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Aron Mustea fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horia Rizescu in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergiu Baniu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aron Mustea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horia Rizescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Baniu having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Cimpuri FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Bungescu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cimpuri FCM booed when PHOENIX BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Gurzău didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iulian Boian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Hârțan in the 40th minute of the match. Iulian Boian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Mustea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iulian Boian was a little too slow when Aron Mustea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aron Mustea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cimpuri FCM's goalkeeper Sergiu Baniu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aron Mustea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Boian having to interfere. Iulian Boian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Simion in the 57th minute of play. Horia Rizescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horia Rizescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rdth minute of the game Basarab Constantinescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cimpuri FCM's Sergiu Baniu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horia Rizescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Aron Mustea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Iulian Boian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aron Mustea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Iulian Boian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Basarab Constantinescu fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX BUCURESTI's protests and gave Basarab Constantinescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Basarab Constantinescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebiu Simion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Boian having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Cimpuri FCM got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Tăzlăuanu. Cimpuri FCM's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
