The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marin Milescu's late challenge caught a Voineasa FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Milescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Marin Milescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Voineasa FCM's Ilie Hârlău got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th match minute, Voineasa FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Hârlău to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd match minute, Voineasa FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toader Protase to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Codruț Bitănescu from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Narcis Panin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 28th minute of the match Alin Chilian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narcis Panin skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Loghin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Voineasa FCM got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Izbașa. Narcis Panin made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Dinu Călimanescu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Loghin in the 49th minute of play forced Voineasa FCM's goalkeeper Narcis Panin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Dinu Călimanescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Panin having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Nicodim Izbașa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Voineasa FCM and the CRAIOVA MAXIMA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Voineasa FCM's Nicodim Izbașa got a free kick in the 60th minute. CRAIOVA MAXIMA's Dinu Călimanescu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinu Călimanescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Narcis Panin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Călimanescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narcis Panin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Loghin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Toader Protase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Eliodor Elefterescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Voineasa FCM getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Toader Protase hit a great ball. Narcis Panin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Loghin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Daniel Loghin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narcis Panin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Călimanescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to CRAIOVA MAXIMA getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Emil Urdea hit a great ball. When Dinu Călimanescu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the CRAIOVA MAXIMA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinu Călimanescu couldn't finish the play. CRAIOVA MAXIMA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
