Eric Mândrilă's late challenge caught a Frunzisul CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Mândrilă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Sanzieni SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Mândrilă to maneuver through the defense. If Petruț Feteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Mandoiu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gigel Lițiu charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigel Lițiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Frunzisul CS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 21 played minutes, when Sanzieni SC:s Radu Blaj calmly waited for Frunzisul CS:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. If Petruț Feteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, David Dancu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Marinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Cazimir Brăescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanzieni SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Brăescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cazimir Brăescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Feteanu in the 41st minute of play forced Sanzieni SC's goalkeeper Costin Codrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Frunzisul CS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Andrei Tutunaru hit a great ball. Petruț Feteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Codrescu having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Frunzisul CS's Ionuț Bogătan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Marinescu in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Sanzieni SC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Deleanu came free, but Costin Codrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, one of Frunzisul CS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a long run with the ball, Radu Blaj did a trick in the 69th minute in front of Frunzisul CS's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. An impressive performance by Sanzieni SC's Radu Blaj! In the 77th match minute, Sanzieni SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Blaj to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sanzieni SC's zone, Aurel Deleanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Codrescu came out of the goal and Aurel Deleanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costin Codrescu made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Petruț Feteanu sent off a good shot on target. Petruț Feteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Costin Codrescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frunzisul CS's Ionuț Bogătan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Marinescu in the 95th minute of play. Sanzieni SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
