Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ernest Siteavu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dorin Lăcătușu charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorin Lăcătușu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Fc Arges Pitesti's Petrică Busuioc got control of the ball when Dragoş Șipoș tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Fc Arges Pitesti defense, Ştefan Tomulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petrică Busuioc. The Fc Arges Pitesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petrică Busuioc should have stopped the shot. In the 9th match minute, Fc Arges Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Zafiu to maneuver through the defense. Dragoş Șipoș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Dragoş Șipoș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrică Busuioc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragoş Șipoș struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Petrică Busuioc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAXIMA CRAIOVA. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niculae Păsărin during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in MAXIMA CRAIOVA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Daniel Encioiu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Dragoş Șipoș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Busuioc having to interfere. Ştefan Tomulescu took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petrică Busuioc. Petrică Busuioc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Luca Petruț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ştefan Tomulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Busuioc having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Melinescu in the 42nd minute of play forced Fc Arges Pitesti's goalkeeper Petrică Busuioc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dragoş Șipoș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petrică Busuioc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Petruț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ionică Melinescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petrică Busuioc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionică Melinescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dragoş Șipoș took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petrică Busuioc. Petrică Busuioc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. MAXIMA CRAIOVA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Mircea Burca scored to the left of an out of position Sabin Gorun, making the score, 4-1. Gică Sucigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MAXIMA CRAIOVA's Dragoş Șipoș got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Encioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Dragoş Șipoș put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Petrică Busuioc. Dragoş Șipoș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fc Arges Pitesti's Petrică Busuioc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Păsărin in the 85th minute of play. Petrică Busuioc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Melinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When MAXIMA CRAIOVA's Dragoş Șipoș in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fc Arges Pitesti's goalie prevented a goal. After taking down the ball on MAXIMA CRAIOVA's corner George Valerian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Petrică Busuioc quite easily take care of the ball. Petrică Busuioc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Tomulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the MAXIMA CRAIOVA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
