Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tudor Baștină got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Baștină in the 5th minute of play forced Rapid CFR's goalkeeper Horaţiu Mavrogheni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Mavrogheni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Baștină's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Rapid CFR's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Gârleanu came free, but Horaţiu Mavrogheni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Baștină sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Guroala's Costel Duldurescu got control of the ball when Costin Macavei tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Tudor Baștină got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Guroala's Dorel Gârleanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horaţiu Mavrogheni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Baștină in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Mavrogheni saved Rapid CFR from getting behind. Tudor Baștină sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebiu Grozăvescu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Costin Macavei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horaţiu Mavrogheni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Gârleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Beșliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ionică Caba came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Guroala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionică Caba couldn't finish the play. When Nae Cioiu fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guroala's protests and gave Nae Cioiu a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Guroala got a freekick which was hit by Nae Cioiu. 60 minutes into the match, Rapid CFR's goalkeeper Horaţiu Mavrogheni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nae Cioiu. Tudor Baștină fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Mavrogheni having to interfere. Costin Macavei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Beșliu in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costel Duldurescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horaţiu Mavrogheni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Baștină, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Tudor Baștină struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Horaţiu Mavrogheni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guroala. When Nae Cioiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. A collision led to Guroala getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nae Cioiu hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Mugurel Răducu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costel Duldurescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guroala's Dorel Gârleanu got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Anton Dobrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Baștină charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Baștină the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Guroala's Tudor Baștină got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Dorel Gârleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Horaţiu Mavrogheni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rapid CFR succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Guroala had controlled the match.
