In the 16th minute of the match Miclosoara UFC got a corner. Dies Irae's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Virgil Săraru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Miclosoara UFC's Virgil Săraru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Octavian Iliuță in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Octavian Bucataru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Ciorobîtcă having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Dies Irae's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Donciu came free, but Octavian Iliuță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Bucataru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Remus Voiculescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Iliuță. Dies Irae's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remus Voiculescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Octavian Iliuță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Ştef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosmin Ciorobîtcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Lemnaru in the 41st minute of play. When Remus Voiculescu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Miclosoara UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Voiculescu couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florin Ştef made a kick off. Martin Lemnaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cosmin Ciorobîtcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dies Irae defense, Florin Ştef kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavian Iliuță. The Dies Irae fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavian Iliuță should have stopped the shot. Octavian Iliuță made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Remus Voiculescu sent off a good shot on target. Peter-Michael Dörmann kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Ionică Dominte kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Dies Irae's Octavian Bucataru tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Martin Lemnaru came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Dies Irae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Lemnaru couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute of the match, Emil Cicortaș tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Octavian Iliuță saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute of the match, Nicu Donciu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octavian Iliuță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Denis Bobei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dies Irae's Octavian Iliuță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Dies Irae from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Miclosoara UFC's Florin Ştef got a free kick in the 94th minute.
